In the case of non-refundable tickets, only flow-based taxes are refundable.

Here are some more general rules for cancellation:

1. If a fare is non-refundable, then the zero fare + YQ/YR amount will be refundable. (Taxes)
2. The charge applies for a child, infant, or adult occupying a seat. Charge (includes a no-show charge) will not apply for infants not occupying a seat. This implies that a child and infant occupying a seat will pay the exact change/cancellation penalties as an adult passenger.
3. No-show fee/charge collected under XP in the tax field will remain non-refundable.
4. Both cancellation and no-show fees will apply (if any) as per the fare rule.
5. For no-show cases, please refer to the no-show definition.
6. The most restrictive rules will apply when a booking is provided with a mixture of at least two fare basis (e.g., Flexi fares and promotional fares).
7. If a passenger is denied check-in for not having valid travel documents (Passport, Visa, etc.) – all applicable no-show and cancellation fees should be collected.
8. Refund will be denied if the application is made after ticket validity expires.
9. If a ticket has been reissued/exchanged multiple times and finally submitted for cancellation, the highest cancellation fee / non-refundable amount among all the reissued/exchanged fares will apply.

What Is the Qatar Airways Refund Policy?

Qatar Airways’ refund policy is very well-defined. It should be noted that Qatar Airways’ refund amount varies according to the type of ticket you booked. Let’s check the general rules of Qatar Airways’ refund policy.

1. If you had a non-refundable ticket, you would only get your tax amount back. No type of fare will be refunded.
2. In case of flight cancellation due to an airline fault, you are entitled to a full refund.
3. The refund validity of the ticket is 12 months from the day of issue for a fully unused ticket. It is 12 months after the first uplift date for partially unused tickets.
4. In case of death, the legal heir of the passenger can apply for a refund after 12 months.
5. You will get your refund in 7 days if your flight is canceled due to “extraordinary circumstances.”
6. If you cancel your ticket within 24 hours of reservation, you will get a 100% refund without any cancellation fees.
7. Refunds will take 14 to 28 days to get processed in normal circumstances.

How to cancel Qatar Airways Booking?

To cancel your Qatar Airways booking, you need to follow the below-mentioned steps:

1. Go to the Qatar Airways website and login into your account.
2. Click on the “Manage Qatar Airways reservation” link.
